To work with children is an absolute treat. Everyone here strives to make each visit comfortable and enjoyable for the kids. I do the same. It’s important to connect with each child in a way that makes them feel safe, and encourages them to feel positive about caring for their dental health.
Let’s face it: historically, going to the dentist was often seen as a chore or unpleasant event, even for adults. But in our office, many of our kids have such a good time they are actually excited to come for their visits. To see their smiles, and receive their hugs and effusive “high fives,” makes my day.
I’m committed to helping each of my young patients become passionate and informed about their dental health. When I can help someone learn why it’s important to keep their mouth healthy, and give them the skills to do so, I know they’re going to have a happier life. I focus on lots of education. I explain everything that will happen during a visit, and encourage questions. When a patient becomes familiar with our tools and processes, they relax and feel comfortable here. That comfort carries over into their experiences as adults going to the dentist.
